“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
Twenty years ago today the magnificent Audrey Hepburn passed away. There has never been another one like her, she was truly irreplaceable. Beautiful, classy, stylish, always trying to help others, always smiling and always hardworking. I don't know a single person who would not respect her work or look at her as an inspiration. As a small tribute, below are some of my favourite photos of her and her wise words that truly speak to me.
“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it's all that matters.”
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
“I have learnt how to live…how to be in the world and of the world, and not just to stand aside and watch.”
“A quality education has the power to transform societies in a single generation, provide children with the protection they need from the hazards of poverty, labor exploitation and disease, and given them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential.”
“I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without my ever seeking it.”
Thank you, Ms Hepburn, for always being so fabulous.
