Yours truly, A.

I've always loved writing cards and letters. When I was in primary school and started going to summer camp, I would sometimes have 5 or 6 pen-friends by the time I got home. Back then, there was no Internet (or it wasn't as accessible), mobile phones were only starting to appear on the market, and writing letters to my friends was the only way to find out how they were doing. I was always so excited to receive new letters from the postman and then reading them (and re-reading) in my room.

Sadly these days I don't write as many cards and letters as I used to, and I believe I'm not the only one. We've become so used to texting, emailing and calling that we forgot how much joy a handwritten note can bring. That's why this year I would like to pick up my fountain pen more often and send cards to my friends and family whenever I can. I've been enjoying buying various stationery over the last couple of months and here is my small (for now) collection of quirky cards.

My next purchase will be a set of personalised cards - I love these cards with the couple's names or initials. I will have to decide what style and colour I would go for, but these two examples from Etsy are something that appeal to me the most.
