While the London Fashion Week is in its full swing, I finally had some time to look at the shows from the now finished New York Fashion Week and gather my favourite looks. Below are only some of them (too many to put in a blog post!).
Classic Donna Karan outfits in beautiful beiges, greys and blues. The combination of the colours in each piece creates a beautiful and feminine figure.
I love the mix of patterns and textures in Lela Rose's collection and the top left look is definitely my favourite.
Beautiful pieces in a true military style that accentuate female curves by the peplums added to the jackets and blazers. Top left and bottom right looks are my favourite ones.
Again, the patterns mixed together look fabulous but not too extravagant. I like the red trousers and the petrol-coloured top.
Diane von Furstenberg
The queen of prints shows what she's good at. Her wrap dresses are the ultimate female pieces and the soft brown tones and leopard-like prints remind me of a glamorous safari.
Edgy looks focused around black and white and the juxtaposition of leather and softer materials. I love the look of the leather jacket teamed up with a white pleated skirt.
The electric blue has definitely caught my attention in Tibi's collection. I love how elegant and smart it looks when teamed up with black pieces. Leather trousers and skirt are definitely amongst the pieces I need to invest in next season.
Her gowns are some of my favourite of high fashion pieces and I adore the rich bold colours and ornamented details on the dresses. The white dress with a white neck fur and the white yellow animal print suit are definitely my favourite outfits.
Finally, my favourite collection of the NYFW. I've been a fan of Victoria Beckham's creations for quite a while, but this year's show must be one of the ones that left me ooh-ing and ahh-ing to my computer's screen. She definitely knows and appreciates a woman's body and her dresses are beautifully cut and extremely flattering. Apart from the grey pieces (which I love), the electric purple is my other favourite colour. It looks so elegant when combined with black ensembles. Viva Mrs Beckham!
