Bad Weather Essentials

Joules raincoat and wellies / 3.1 Phillip Lim chunky knit jumper (now on sale!) / Topshop MOTO jeansStarbucks Metallic Bead tumbler

Over the last year I’ve made it a habit to leave the house daily to get both myself and Antek some fresh air. It also helps that Antek has the longest naps when he’s being rocked in the pushchair, so I have no choice but to go out, come rain or shine. And as we’re approaching the season transition and anticipating more rainy days, I’ve been thinking about getting some ‘bad weather’-essentials.

I’m convinced a pair of wellies and a raincoat are must-have items in this country. But I am also certain that even in bad weather you shouldn’t compromise your style. I love the fact that Joules has an amazing range of women’s raincoats in a variety of styles, lengths and colours. This navy one would work with any outfit, but I like how it looks with a pair of comfy skinny jeans and a white chunky knit. And with wellies becoming more fashionable these days, I’m particularly in love with this cute floral pair.  Top this outfit off with a trendy coffee tumbler in hand and I’m pretty sure I can outwit rain, hail and sleet.

  • I love this outfit! I live in Alabama, so there isn’t usually much snow, but there’s tons of rain. After living here a year I invested in a rain coat, but not one as pretty as above haha.

    • Same here – London doesn’t get too much snow, but of course we get A LOT of rain pretty much all year round!

  • That sweater looks SO cozy! I love the print on those rain boots. Great picks! =)

    • Thank you, Miranda! I could pretty much see myself wearing this outfit day in and day out, it is soooooo comfortable and cosy!
