Now that autumn is well and truly here, it is time to dig out ‘the big guns’ when it comes to beauty and skincare products. With the central heating being on most of the days and the extreme weather becoming more regular, I feel that my skin requires a bit more TLC. Here are five products I have discovered and been using recently.
Dermalogica Daily Resurfacer – I was on a hunt for a gentle exfoliator for a while and this product is the perfect match for my skin. It is actually a set of 35 mini-mittens that you pop on your index finger and apply to your skin in circular motion. They are very delicate and leave your skin feeling clean, but not too clean. I use one mitten every other evening and my face has been feeling a lot more smoother.
Giorgio Armani Si – even though these three perfumes were kindly sent to me as a gift, I’ve been loving spritzing them every day. I tend to reach for a bit heavier and sweeter scents in autumn and winter and these hit the spot perfectly.
CND Solar Oil Nail & Cuticle Conditioner – my cuticles have become drier over the past couple of weeks, so I have been using this conditioner religiously every evening. It’s too early to say whether it’s worked wonders to my nails and cuticles long term, but I do like the formula of this product and how it softens the skin around my nails quite a bit.
Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm – I use lip balms all year round but in the colder months I do like ones that are a bit more tinted (like these ones from Fresh that are still among my favourites lip products). This Pixi balm makes my lips oh so smooth and the colour it leaves is so gorgeous!
Dermalogica Overnight Retinol Repair – as I’m gearing towards the big 3-0 (gulp) I am upping my anti-ageing game just a notch. This new Dermalogica product is extremely powerful and comes with a buffer cream to help your skin get used to the retinol. I am looking forward to seeing how it’s going to keep my (future) wrinkles at bay!
